The "Life as a Miracle" foundation has been operating for sixteen years. Over this time, it has become one of the key structures in the country supporting children with liver diseases: the foundation equips clinics with modern equipment, develops early diagnosis systems, trains doctors, and creates an environment where young patients receive not only treatment but also the necessary emotional support. The evening at The Carlton was a continuation of this significant work—a step that allows the foundation to plan its assistance long-term.
The traditional auction became the central element of the evening. Its outcome demonstrated that the willingness to support the foundation is not an impulse, but a mature decision. A separate role was played by the Miracle Awards ceremony—recognizing the partners and friends of the foundation, thanks to whom its programs become sustainable. This is an important signal: charity in Russia is increasingly built on systematicity, long-term cooperation, and responsibility.
For The Axis editorial team, the "Life as a Miracle" evening served as confirmation that today’s taste for life encompasses not only the ability to enjoy the finest expressions of culture but also the capacity to participate in creating conditions that make someone else’s life better.
The unique feature of the event was its atmosphere. It wasn’t merely a social gathering but a space where charity was perceived as a natural part of the cultural norm. The stylish, restrained presentation, musical program, and precise organization—all emphasized that helping can be not a loud gesture but a calm, conscious action.
An Evening of the Life as a Miracle Foundation
The theme of this issue inevitably leads us to understand what shapes quality of life today. Mindfulness, the ability to choose the best, the skill to appreciate details—these are all important elements of modern culture. However, in recent years, another component has been added, quieter but no less significant: the ability to take responsibility and participate in the fates of others.

It was precisely these meanings that formed the backdrop of the charity evening for the "Life as a Miracle" foundation, which took place on November 25 at The Carlton Moscow. The evening was organized as part of the international #GivingTuesday initiative and concluded with an important result—20.7 million rubles raised to help children with severe liver diseases and to develop early diagnosis programs.
